Coffee Tables
C.U.P Type Case Coffee Table 1 – About 30 years ago I was fortunate to be able to buy 100 redundant type cases from the Cambridge University Press. I clean them carefully, trying to preserve the graffiti and character, and set them in coffee tables with glass tops.
C.U.P Type Case Coffee Table 2 – This is a more minimal design, made from English walnut.
C.U.P Type Case Coffee Table 3 – They are great for displaying collections of small things: a sort of cabinet of curiosities.
Chestnut & Bog Oak Coffee Table – Made for a mental health clinic.
Laminated Ply Coffee Table – Probably the most difficult vacuum pressing piece I have made, it's laminated from several sheets of aero ply.
Swarofski Crystal Coffee Table – Another difficult laminating job. The three holes in the top and sides were joined by a hollow branched casting, which was coated on the inside with black Swarofski crystals, giving a geode-like effect.
