Dining Tables
Beech & Walnut Table – One of the largest (certainly the heaviest!) tables I've made. There is no framework under the top- the legs go through and the top is stabilised with three hidden pieces of steel.
Beech & Walnut Table – This was a lovely commission. The table was a wedding present from the groom's parents, and the chairs were given by various family members. The names of the givers were stamped on each piece.
Birds Eye Maple and Walnut Table – Another nice one, made from two consecutive planks of quarter sawn brown oak.
Birds Eye Maple and Walnut Table – Detail showing the natural edge.
French Walnut Extending Table – Based on a 20-year old design, this used bookmatched veneers on the top.
Hornbeam Refectory Table – A very simple design, using this uncommon timber.
Oak Tripod Table – A design from the 1990s, derived from an earlier commission for a dining table that could fold down to coffee table height.
Piegut Table – Made from reclaimed pine, the arched frames are to allow a large Rugby player to sit in comfort.
XX Table – As far as I know, there's no other table like this. There is a steel armature hidden inside the legs, which allows this design to work. I have made two of these so far. This one is made from American walnut solid and veneer.
XX Table – A very large table, 3m x 1.1m, made from Fremch walnut with a natural edge to the top. Making it was quite scary, as I wasn't sure whether it would be stable and strong enough. Luckily it was!
